Child safety is the top priority in early childhood education and care (ECEC). Recent incidents have exposed critical failures in safeguarding children and have renewed the urgency for a system wide response that ensures every child is protected and supported.
This inquiry offers a vital opportunity to address immediate safety concerns, while also exploring the systemic issues that allow these gaps to persist. While regulatory reforms are essential, lasting change requires a system-wide response.
The Front Project welcomes this inquiry as a crucial step toward building a safer, more accountable ECEC system.
