The Front Project believes all children have the right to access life-long benefits of quality early learning. We know that many children continue to miss out due to life circumstances, parent or carer work status, geographic location and systemic barriers to access and participation.
The Front Project is now proud to support Uniting’s More than Money campaign that is advocating for non-financial barriers to early learning be removed. Non-financial barriers include domestic and family violence, cultural differences, transport and disability. Addressing these barriers, along with addressing affordability, will help ensure all children can access quality early learning.
Children who access quality early childhood education benefits span far beyond children’s school education to higher levels of educational success, personal development, and social skills. Dr Caroline Croser-Barlow, CEO of the Front Project says. “Any funding model or reforms going forward must have affordability, access, inclusion, equity and quality at its heart. We know quality ECEC makes a difference for children, especially those experiencing disadvantage, and the sector must work together to make this a reality.”
