Leading early childhood education and care organisation, The Front Project, has congratulated the the New South Wales Labor Leader Chris Minns on his election victory and encouraged his new government to continue with the ECEC reform agenda in NSW.

The previous government was making historic investments in children, families, and their economic future through its Early Years Commitment to ECEC reform. A reform that has enjoyed bi-partisan support, which the Front Project hopes will continue in the new government.

The Front Project Acting CEO, Sally Trudgen said it was vitally important the reform momentum was maintained in NSW.

“The Front Project acknowledges the election of the new Minns Government and looks forward to working constructively with all members of the next Parliament,” Ms Trudgen said.

“Implementing universal pre-kindergarten is a game-changer for young people in NSW, their families, and the economy – it’s crucial that these reforms continue.

“We encourage the government to push ahead and incorporate lessons learned along the way.”

“We also welcome the Minns Government plan to build 100 public preschools co-located with Government primary schools and address workforce issues.

“We look forward to engaging with the Government to help deliver on these commitments.”
